Firstly, R Farrant of Fraser & Fraser, London, is chaired by his mates and posed with his rivet gun. He set the record at 4,376 rivets in nine hours. D Deviney of Glasgow, who raised this to 4,422 rivets in the same time, is posed in his back garden in his best clothes (including fob watch and waistcoat). Finally, W Moses of Vickers Ltd, Barrow-in-Furness, who managed 5,984 rivets, is shown at work with his rivet gun, then posed with it.
